Design systems
built to scale
Design systems from Dubai: tokens, components and documentation shared by designers and engineers, so products stay consistent as teams grow.
When several teams build one product, a design system is what keeps it feeling like one product.
Without a system, every team solves the same problems differently: five button styles, three date pickers, a spacing scale nobody agreed. A design system gives designers and engineers one shared source: tokens for colour, type and spacing, components built in design and code, and documentation on when to use what. We audit what you have, build the foundations and core components, and set up the process that keeps it alive.
For product teams that have outgrown building every screen from scratch.
Companies with several product teams, groups running more than one app or platform under one brand, and scale-ups whose interface has drifted as headcount grew. The need usually shows up as slower delivery and a product that feels stitched together.
- The same component exists in several slightly different versions
- Designers and engineers work from different sources of truth
- A brand or colour change would mean editing hundreds of files
- New features take longer to ship than they should
What a design system engagement covers
Interface audit
An inventory of every component, colour, type style and pattern across your products, showing the duplicates and inconsistencies a system will remove.
Foundations and tokens
Design tokens for colour, typography, spacing, radius, elevation and motion, including themes such as dark mode, ready to sync between design and code.
Component library
Core components designed with every state and variant in Figma and built in your front-end framework, accessible and right-to-left ready.
Documentation and governance
Usage guidance, code examples and a contribution model, so teams know when to use a component and how to propose a new one.
How we work
Audit
Everything in your products today, catalogued with your designers and engineers so we know what the system must cover first.
Foundations
Tokens and principles agreed across design and engineering, because every component depends on them.
Components
The most-used components first, designed and coded together, tested inside real screens rather than in isolation.
Adopt
Documentation, migration guidance and a governance model, with the first product screens moved onto the system.
What we believe about design systems
Design and code are one system
A Figma library that does not match the code is a second source of truth. We build both together and keep them named the same.
Start with what is used most
A system earns trust by solving everyday problems first. We build the components teams reach for daily before the rare ones.
A product, not a project
A system needs owners, releases and a way to take requests. We leave a model your team can run, not a library that freezes on handover.
What you walk away with
- One source of truth for design and code
- Tokens that make theming and rebrands a configuration change
- Accessible components that work left-to-right and right-to-left
- Faster design and build for every new feature
- A governance model that keeps the system alive after we leave
Questions we are asked about design systems
Do we need a design system?
If more than one team designs or builds your product, or you run several products under one brand, almost certainly. If you are one small team on one product, a lighter component library may be enough, and we will say so.
What affects the cost?
The number of products it must serve, how many components are in scope, whether we build the code as well as the design files, the frameworks involved and the documentation needed. We scope it after the audit.
How long does it take to build a design system?
A first version with foundations and core components takes eight to twelve weeks. A system is never finished, so we plan the first release and the way it grows from there.
Does the system support Arabic and right-to-left layouts?
Yes. Components are built to mirror for right-to-left, tokens include Arabic type styles, and every component is checked in both directions.
Who owns the system and what do you need from us?
You own every file, token and line of code. We need access to your products and repositories, and designers and engineers from your team working alongside us, because they will maintain it.
