Explore more,
decide sooner
AI art direction from Dubai: generative tools used to explore visual worlds for brands and campaigns quickly, with a designer making every call.
Generative AI is a fast sketchbook. It still needs someone who knows what good looks like.
We use image and video models to explore far more visual directions than a mood board allows: lighting, casting, settings, materials and palettes, tested in days rather than weeks. The output is a direction, not a finished asset. A designer sets the brief, curates, combines and refines, and the chosen world is then produced properly, with photography, illustration or 3D where rights and quality need it.
For teams that need to see a direction before they commit a budget to it.
Brand and marketing teams planning a campaign or a rebrand, founders who need a visual world before they can brief production, and agencies that want to test more routes than their timeline allows. The common thread is a decision that is expensive to get wrong.
- Mood boards keep producing the same references as everyone else
- Stakeholders cannot agree on a direction until they see it
- A shoot or render budget depends on a look nobody has seen yet
- You need several routes tested in the time one usually takes
What an AI art direction engagement covers
Creative brief and references
What the work has to say and feel, the references that frame it and the limits it must respect, agreed before any image is made.
Style exploration
Several visual routes explored with generative models, each pushed far enough to judge, then narrowed with you to one or two.
Visual direction
The chosen world defined: palette, light, composition, casting, materials and the do and do-not list that keeps it consistent.
Production plan
How the direction becomes final assets: what to shoot, illustrate, render or generate, with the rights position of each made clear.
How we work
Brief
The idea, the audience and the constraints, including what must not be generated.
Explore
Wide generative exploration over a few days, curated by a designer into distinct routes.
Refine
One route developed in depth, edited by hand and tested on real layouts and formats.
Direct
A direction document and production plan that photographers, illustrators or our own team work from.
What we believe about AI in art direction
The tool explores, the designer decides
Models are good at volume and bad at taste. Every image you see has been chosen, edited or rejected by someone who knows what the brand needs.
Be honest about rights
Generated images do not carry the same rights as commissioned work. We tell you what you can safely use, and we produce the rest another way.
Respect the people behind the style
We do not prompt in the name of living artists or imitate a named photographer. A brand needs its own look, not someone else’s.
What you walk away with
- More directions seen before money is spent on production
- A visual world defined clearly enough to brief anyone
- A designer’s judgement on every image, not a prompt dump
- A production plan with the rights position of each asset
- Decisions made in days rather than weeks
Questions we are asked about AI art direction
Can we use the generated images in our campaign?
Sometimes, with care. Copyright in purely generated images is unsettled and differs by country, so you may not be able to stop others using them. For hero assets we usually recommend producing the final work by photography, illustration or 3D, using the exploration as the brief.
Which tools do you use?
Whichever suit the brief and your rules: commercial image and video models with clear terms of use, and models trained on licensed data where a client requires it. We record the tool used for every image we hand over.
How long does it take?
A focused exploration takes one to two weeks; a full direction with a production plan, three to four. The speed is in the exploring, not in skipping the judgement.
Will the images look like AI?
Not if they are directed well. Generated images have known faults, in hands, text, faces and detail, and we edit or replace what does not hold up. Where something cannot be fixed convincingly, we say so and produce it another way.
Do you generate people or real places?
We do not generate real, identifiable people, and we treat landmarks, cultural and religious imagery with care. Where a campaign needs real people, we cast and shoot them.
